These terms cover the official Leafhour hosted reading service at leafhour.com. Contact support@leafhour.com about service, payments or your account.
Your reading room
You can read saved content, keep personal notes and export your records without buying points. Personal uploads remain private by default. Your original writing remains yours; AI responses and your writing are kept distinct.
Private uploads and copyright
Upload only material you are legally entitled to use and process. Open-source code licensing does not license the books or translations supplied by others. Check the source, copyright and local rules before sharing or publishing material. Public-domain availability can differ by country.
AI results are drafts
AI translations, answers and annotations can contain errors. They are marked as drafts or generated content, kept separate from the author’s text, and should be checked against the source. Buying points does not guarantee a particular interpretation or factual accuracy.
Points and payment
The monthly subscription is US$5 / month. Each successful monthly payment grants 100 reading points. The yearly subscription is US$50 / year, charged in full each year; each successful yearly payment grants 1,200 reading points together, not in monthly instalments. The selected plan automatically renews monthly or yearly until cancelled in the Creem customer portal. Purchased points accumulate with no expiry; cancelling stops future renewal and keeps points already delivered. AI use is not unlimited. Each verified account may receive 10 trial points once, automatically when eligible and campaign funds are available. One passage with separate literal and interpretive Chinese translations costs 1 point; one reading question or selected-text explanation costs 4 points. The exact price is shown before paid work begins. Applicable taxes and the final total appear at Creem checkout.
Delivery, limits and suspension
A saved result can be reopened without paying again. Failed, cancelled or undelivered tasks do not consume purchased points. Existing usage and context limits still apply. Automatic companion messages never spend purchased points. Payment disputes or abuse may suspend new paid work; they do not change ownership of your writing. Contact support for access or export problems.
Self-hosting and changes
The software is licensed under AGPL-3.0. Local reading, self-hosting and export do not require a subscription. Self-hosted operators set their own provider configuration and policies. Future task prices may change for new requests; an existing task keeps its quoted price. Purchased points are not a promise of perpetual service.
Support and mandatory rights
For refunds, service problems or account questions, email support@leafhour.com. The refund policy applies alongside any mandatory consumer rights and applicable Creem rules. These terms do not limit statutory rights.
